We are appointing new care workers who are looking for full time or part time hours, with both day and night shifts on offer!
Job Opportunity
As a Care and Support Worker at Strode Park House you will:
- Encourage and support residents in reaching their full potential
- Deliver a high standard of essential and routine care to all residents
- Assist with the welcoming of new residents and their families to the home
- Assist with the service of meals and feeding
- Support and participate in all areas of the running of the home, keeping it clean and tidy and adhering to Health and Safety requirements
As a Strode Park Foundation colleague you will receive comprehensive support from day one and receive training and development opportunities to develop your skills.
Strode Park House is a residential home with nursing care for 55 adults with physical disabilities and complex needs in Herne, Kent. We’ve been delivering care since 1946, and this residential home is where it all started.
The team at Strode Park House ensures our residents live in a safe and secure environment; each person’s individual wellbeing, dignity and choice is vitally important within the community of residents who live at or come for a short break. Shift times at Strode Park House are:
- Early - 7.00am - 1.30pm
- Lates - 1.30pm - 8.00pm
- Nights - 8.00pm - 7.00am
Strode Park House provides care on a 24-hour basis, 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. This means we value reliable and flexible staff. Essential Skills
Our ideal Care and Support Worker will:
- Be able to communicate clearly with our residents, adapting to their individual requirements.
- Be committed to deliver a high level of care and support for our service users.
- Have the motivation to use own initiative and develop activities and events for service users.
- Have the confidence to work without constant supervision but will seek advice and assistance where required.
- Be able to clearly and appropriately communicate both orally and in written form with people inside and outside the Foundation.
- Hold Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or be willing to attain this qualification
