April 2024 Monthly Thank You

As we do every month, we have lots of amazing people, businesses, and organisations to thank and we want to share the wonderful ways in which they have and are continuing to support the charity and our work.

Without all of these supporters we would not be able to support our residents and clients the way we do.

To begin, we’d like to say thank you to:

• Gavin and Gary at the Copper Pottle who are retiring, and we would like to start this month’s thank you story off with them. From all at the Strode Park Foundation we would like to say a massive thank you for all your fundraising efforts over the last nine years, we could not do this without you.
• Next up is Herne Bay Football Club we would like to say the biggest thank you to them for having us as their charity partner for the next two seasons. We went to the last game of the season and managed to raise a whopping £341.35.
• There are lots of organisations we would like to say thank you to this month as they have all kindly donated vouchers for our raffles this year and we could not put on the raffles we do without them. We would like to thank Broadway Butchers, Makcari’s, Wildwood Trust, Gulbenkian, Canoe Wild and Whitefriars Canterbury.
• Another thank you this month goes to everyone who kindly donated to our just giving page for our Virtual London Marathon, we cannot begin to thank you all enough. Overall, we managed to raise a total of…… £2045.
• A huge thank you to Forest of Blean Rotary Club and their president Mike Moore who chose to support the Strode Park Foundation as his ‘Charity of the Year’. Karen and Chief Executive Paul Montgomery were invited to a special dinner last night (29 April) where they were presented with a cheque for £3,000 – the amount the club has raised so far through the year – with the cycle ride and concert sales still to be added to this total. THANK YOU!!
• We would like to continue saying thank you to each and every one of our volunteers new and current for their continued hard work, dedication and support to our charity.
