Volunteer of the Month – November
Volunteer of the Month November 2024...Jackie.
As we do every month, we have lots of amazing people, businesses, and organisations to thank and we want to share the wonderful ways in which they have and are continuing to support the charity and our work.
Without all of these supporters we would not be able to support our residents and clients the way we do.
To begin, we’d like to say thank you to:
• Our customers, who have come to our events throughout the theatre in the park season and continue to support the charity every single year, thank you!
• Following from this we would like to say a huge thank you to Herne Bay Football Club for choosing us as their charity partnership for the next two seasons but also for our recent collection pot day at one of their biggest games. Raising just over £900!
• A big thank you goes out to one of our homes, Lady Dane Farmhouse, for their fantastic Summer Fayre. It was a hit with the local community and a day that saw lots of people into the home and raised vital funds for those that live there.
• We are so grateful to the Canterbury City Council and the Lord Mayor of Canterbury for recently donating all the coinage from the local fountains across the area. We are truly grateful.
• Up next, a massive thank you goes to the Beaney in Canterbury who facilitated our recent photography exhibition, in the front room gallery. Our exhibition closed this month but without the Beaney’s help we could not show off our services and residents in the way that we did. Thank you.
• Thank you to Caneco and the Lord Mayor of Canterbury who came together to reuse and recycle some chairs that were no longer in use. All the money they raised from the sale of the chairs was kindly donated to the Strode Park Foundation.
• Lastly, we would like to share our enormous thanks to every single volunteer that has volunteered during the month, whether that was at an event, at the charity shop or within the home. Thank you.
THANK YOU, to everyone for all they have done this month in supporting Strode. We could not do provide the care we do without all of your help and support.
