We were delighted that five of our residents attended the Lord Mayor of Canterbuy’s Spring Ball, in aid of Strode Park Foundation, on Saturday 22nd March, along with their carers and our Chairperson, Sarah Toms.
Dave, a Care & Support Worker, said, “It was an absolute pleasure to be invited to such a prestigious event. Both residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed themselves, in fact, Stuart and Patrice couldn’t stop smiling! They shook hands with so many people throughout the evening. Patrice sipped some champagne and loved speaking with the Lord Mayor of Canterbury and the Lady Mayoress. The food was delicious, the raffle was amazing, and we were so well looked after. Thank you to everyone involved in the evening, from the wonderful catering crew to Canterbury Cricket Club. We all loved it!”
Ash, a resident, shared, “It was very busy with lots of people. I enjoyed sitting next to Sarah and talking with her. The food was lovely and I really enjoyed it. I would like to go again.”
Lord Mayor of Canterbury Cllr Jean Butcher and Lady Mayoress Di Baldock said, “It was a pleasure to hold our Spring Ball in aid of the Strode Park Foundation, where we know hard work and dedication are shown by all the staff and volunteers to enable residents to have a fulfilling quality of life.
It was so lovely that some of the residents, along with their carers, were able to join us at our Spring Ball on Saturday 22nd March 2025; it was certainly an inclusive experience for them all. It was nice to see all the ladies dressed up in their finery and the gentlemen in their smart suits and they should all be proud of themselves, as should their families, as we were so proud of them, and we hope they all enjoyed the evening as much as we enjoyed their company.”
A huge thank you to the Lord Mayor of Canterbury and the Lady Mayoress, and their team for arranging such a wonderful evening in aid of Strode Park Foundation.
