September 2024 Monthly Thank You

As we do every month, we have lots of amazing people, businesses, and organisations to thank and we want to share the wonderful ways in which they have and are continuing to support the charity and our work.

Without all of these supporters we would not be able to support our residents and clients the way we do.

To begin, we’d like to say thank you to:
• G4S who kindly spent their day off transporting one of our residents on their first day out to Westwood Cross in over 10 years. Their time, hard work and dedication has truly made the life of our resident, and we are eternally grateful.
• A big thank you goes out to Mirage Hair and Beauty for sponsoring our Mission: Christmas event this has allowed us to make this event as best as possible. Thank you!
• Another thank you goes out to Herne Bay Rotary Club who very kindly donated £500 to our Book Advent Calendars and helped us support the local high school (Herne Bay High).
• This month we were accepted by the B&Q Foundation for a grant towards our new fire doors at our Footprints home in Canterbury. We would truly like to thank the B&Q Foundation for everything and allowing us to complete this work.
• Additionally, we would like to thank the Lord Mayor of Canterbury and her team for all their efforts and hard work in raising money for our Foundation. They recently raised a whopping £115 during their wine tasting event. Thank you!
• Active Life have supported us greatly this month with our Swimathon and their “Sportaneous” event. A huge thank you goes out to Claire Butcher who organised and stayed for 24 hours for the Swimathon; thank you all!
• We would like to thank CMR Stories who have donated their time and resources to our Foundation by making us a volunteer recruitment video free of charge. Thank you!
• As our Theatre in the Park 2024 season ended this month, we would like to thank all our Patrons who attended a show this year and contributed to our fundraising efforts. We raised a whopping £35,000.
• As always, we want to thank all of our volunteers for their continued support throughout September, they help the daily running of our Foundation, and we could not do it without them.

THANK YOU, to everyone for all they have done this month in supporting Strode. We could not provide the care we do without all of your help and support.
