Volunteer of the Month – October
Volunteer of the Month October 2024...Ginette.
This Christmas we asked our local communities to help us fill, wrap, and deliver 165 shoe boxes to our residents and what a success this was!
We hit a total of 202 shoe boxes by Friday 8th December 2023, meaning we managed to exceed our target by 37 shoe boxes! The Strode Park Foundation would like to thank each and every one of you that donated boxes, items, or money towards this cause.
On Friday 15th December. Santa arrived early at each of our homes across Kent to deliver all 202 wonderful shoe boxes to our incredible residents. The smiles on their faces were priceless and exactly why these appeals are so important to our foundation.
Director of Fundraising and Communications, Karen Jeal, said: “We never expected the shoe boxes to have such a positive response from our local communities and it was a success we could have only dreamed of. I would personally like to say a massive thank you to anyone who donated and to say that you are all amazing!”
Next year, our shoe boxes will be making a return. So, if you can look out for Christmas 2024 and save anything you find in upcoming sales for shoe boxes next year, it will truly help us to keep making their Christmas’ magical and exciting.
If between now and Christmas 2024 you wish to support the Strode Park Foundation head to our website to donate or become a challenge hero to continue allowing us to support children, young people, and adults with disabilities. www.strodepark.org.uk.
