Strode indebted to Cabot Financial volunteers

A team of colleagues from Cabot Financial braved the rain on Friday (5 July) to volunteer for Strode Park Foundation.

Nine of the operational team at the Kings Hill firm got their paint brushes and rollers at the ready. They spent the morning painting the outside of Strode Park’s Green Room and making it clear and tidy ready for the summer.

Cabot Financial are a UK firm that help people to financial recovery.

Josh Bramley, who heads up the team, said: “This is such a good cause, and we are 100% supportive and I’ll always want to say thank you as this charity is so close to my heart. It really means a lot to be able to come and give back.”

Josh is friends with one of Strode Park House’s residents Jordan. The pair have known each other since they were both four years old. Jordan has been a resident at Strode since 2001 after an accident.

The team painted the outside of the building from yellow to a light grey.

Josh added: “This has been the easiest volunteering experience we have done. We’ve absolutely loved it.”

When asked what he’d say to other organisations looking to carry out corporate volunteering with Strode, he said: “It’s a good cause, and they do good work for people with disabilities. It’s a very rewarding experience and if we can give a little bit back then we’ve helped a lot. Others can definitely do the same.”
