The ‘LDF NOK Community Hub’

Lady Dane Farmhouse (LDF) have not long started their next venture. The Next of Kin (NOK) Community Hub!

The aim and purpose of the ‘LDF NOK Community Hub’ is to provide NOK an opportunity to engage with management directly and to discuss and develop ideas to improve the service and the lives of the residents living at LDF.

The ‘LDF NOK Community Hub’ is not just a place for NOK to express thoughts and feelings, it is also an opportunity to gain knowledge from one another, form friendships and provide support to one another, knowing they are not alone.

Claire Dante (Home Manager) said “The first meeting was amazing. Our aim is to enhance our relationships further with the residents’ families and NOK. It is imperative that NOK feel included, valued and listened to, nobody knows the residents better than them”

LDF want to work as a team, to learn from each other and build further rapport and trust with the families. Fundamentally, everyone wants the same thing, for the residents at LDF to have a great quality of life, to be physically and mentally stimulated and to have opportunities and choice. By working together as a team, we will ensure this is achieved.

Family is at the heart of what LDF do, and the home is vibrant, warm and inviting for the whole family.

The ‘LDF NOK Community Hub’ meets quarterly. All are welcome, email invites and reminders will be sent to all NOK.

Lady Dane Farmhouse is home to adults with mixed disabilities in Faversham. The residential home is a fun and nurturing environment and allows people to live as independently as possible.
